Normandy Gym helps many of us keep those pounds off with their energizing kick boxing classes, but did you know they also help keep teens off the street. Normandy Gym is a proud supporter of Beach Amateur Boxing, an organization bringing opportunities to teens in our community. This Saturday, Beach Amateur Boxing is hosting an afternoon of live amateur boxing in 20 bouts of hard hitting action at theMiami Beach Convention Center, Hall D at 1901 Convention Center Drive Miami Beach, FL , on Saturday, May 29, 2010.  Doors open to the public at 3:00pm.

Barbara Triana, host and organizer of the Amateur event says, “these kids work so hard to train, to  get in the ring,   they have BIG dreams to become future champions- the next Golden Boy De La Hoya…for them , boxing is the ONLY way to stay off the streets and out of trouble.  The hard work they do with their coaches and mentors, most of whom are in law enforcement, pays off in pride and sense of belonging to a team-a family of kids who are all together in the same struggle.
