North Beach Skate Park Gains Support

On May 25, 2016, the City of Miami Beach Parks and Recreation Facilities Advisory Board hosted a public workshop to gather input on a proposed skate park that could break ground in North Beach. The Commission unanimously agreed that the skate park should be built in North Beach and has allocated $400,000 for the project.

North Beach Master Plan Draft Revealed: What you need to know

On Tuesday, June 7, urban planning agency Dover, Kohl & Partners presented their North Beach master plan draft to a packed room that included residents, community leaders and business owners. Since December 2015, the firm has been diligently collecting data for the study that stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to the Bay and from 63rd Street to 87th Terrace.

Normandy Isle to Boost Curb Appeal

According to Public Information Specialist for the Office of Capital Improvement Projects Lauren Firtel, “right of way” improvements refer to construction work to improve city-owned passageways, which includes, but is not limited to, roadways, sidewalks, swales, and infrastructure.

North Shore Open Space Park Redesign by West 8

International design firm West 8 has been scouted and hired to head up the $6.5 million re-design of North Shore Open Space Park. Located east of Collins Avenue from 79th Street to 87th Street, this park is one of the largest in Miami Beach, and the only beachfront park that has public grills and picnic pavilions, making this a wonderful space for friends and families to gather on the weekends.

Blueways Master Plan Update
