Iris on the Bay: New waterfront townhomes make waves in Normandy Isle

After purchasing the two-acre site in 2012, The Spear Group and Braddock Financial are thrilled to see their vision become reality. The 43 four-story waterfront townhome development, aptly named after the national flower of France in recognition of the neighborhood’s French roots, played host to dozens Monday, March 14 for its grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

North Beach Parks Get a Facelift

Recently, the Parks and Recreation Deputy Director Elizabeth Valera, presented a comprehensive plan regarding the improvements of many North Beach parks at a Blue Ribbon Panel meeting. North Beach news caught up with Valera who provided us with more details on these upgrades.

City Presents New Bicycle Master Plan to North Beach Residents

On June 4, 2015, the City of Miami Beach Transportation Planner, Xavier Falconi, presented the new bicycle master plan to North Beach residents at the Mayor’s Blue Ribbon Panel. At the meeting, residents were able to hear firsthand about the plan and make suggestions. In addition to working on this plan, the City is finalizing a transportation master plan to improve overall transportation issues.

“These two plans are being worked on separately but on two parallel tracks,” said Falconi, who has worked for the department for seven years. “These two plans are essentially becoming one and we have gotten positive feedback.”
