Nestled inside the Days Inn located at 7450 Ocean Terrace, right off Collins Avenue, you’ll find ITO Mojitos y Cafecitos, an Art Deco-style, Cuban influenced gastropub that’s too good to be kept to ourselves.

Offering a full bar, happy hour specials, and serving up brunch, lunch, and dinner, ITO seems to have it all; and that’s because it does! Owner Larry Olea opened the establishment in October of last year. A graduate of Florida International University’s hospitality program, he describes the North Beach restaurant scene as  a “variety from all over to satisfy your palate, a few hidden gems with a lot of character and definitely room for new and exciting restaurants.”

By glancing at the menu you’ll see there is definitely a Latin flavor here. Items like guava and cream cheese stuffed French toast will take your brunch to a whole new level, while the $5 mojitos during happy hour from 3pm to 7pm are a welcome treat for an after work unwind.

Not sure what you’re craving? ITO offers a little bit of everything. The Billy Burger is served cooked to perfection and topped with bacon from Miami Smokers, colby jack cheese, caramelized onions and a red pepper aioli. Is your mouth watering yet? Other entrees include a Latin take on Fish and Chips (at ITO they’re served with yucca fries and a cilantro aioli) and the mojo ribs, which are succulent, fall off the bone and made even more delicious (as if that were possible!) by the tropical slaw they come with.

A review of ITO wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the Churrasco, which Larry says is a favorite among guests.

Your sweet tooth will be more than satisfied with the guava and cream cheese donuts. Yes, you read that right. Crispy fried donuts topped off with cream cheese frosting and guava sauce melt in your mouth and leave you wanting more. No judging here – go ahead and make that a double order!

Parking on Ocean Terrace is complimentary after 6pm, making parking a breeze. Speaking of breeze, the terrace makes a perfect spot to dine al fresco during these warm Miami nights while the laid back ambiance is welcoming to dinners with friends, family or that special someone.
