For its Centennial anniversary, Miami Beach will be hosting an epic, all-day Fourth of July festival at the North Shore Bandshell Park (Collins and 73rd St). This North Beach staple will be the epicenter of family-friendly events that start at 9:00 am and end with fireworks at 9:00 pm.

9:00 a.m. The event kicks-off with free Green Monkey yoga on the beach
11:00 a.m. Food trucks start rolling in
12:00 p.m. Free entertainment with DJs and a kid zone featuring a rock climbing wall, bungee station, inflatable slide and face painting station
3:00 p.m. Doors open for the 2015 Copa America finals broadcast at the North Shore Bandshell Park with the game beginning at 4:00 p.m.
5:00 p.m. Live concert by Red Monkey
7:30 p.m. Headliner, Dave Mason performs
9:00 p.m. The event concludes with a spectacular firework show

Mason, the esteemed British musician and co-founder of the legendary band Traffic, will present an unforgettable, rocking evening of music. He is renowned for such Traffic hits as “Feelin’ Alright” and “Hole in My Shoe,” plus solo signature tracks “We Just Disagree” and “Only You Know and I Know.” The self-taught guitarist, singer and songwriter was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.

One of the sponsors of the event is leading Real Estate development company Terra Group. President & Owner of the organization David Martin is excited to be involved and said, “Terra has a long history of giving back and supporting local events that bring communities together, and the Fire on the Fourth Festival will do just that. With our newest residential development on the Beach, Glass, now complete and our 87 Park project set to launch in the coming months, we’re excited about expanding our presence in Miami Beach.”

Coca-Cola has been the title sponsor of the event and has had long standing relationship with the City of Miami Beach. Melanie Jones, General Manager of Coca-Cola Refreshments South Florida, adds “As an iconic American brand and the City of Miami Beach’s official beverage partner it’s only fitting that Coca-Cola is the title sponsor of Miami Beach’s Fire on the Fourth. Through our relationship with Miami Beach we are committed to supporting programs and events that are important to the residents. The Fourth of July Celebration is just one of the many community initiatives that we are involved with year-round. And there is no better way to spend a relaxing Fourth of July than enjoying an ice-cold Coca-Cola on Miami Beach.”

Local North Beach organizations have also stepped up and become active sponsors of the celebrations. “The North Beach Property Owners Association, in its continued commitment and support for North Beach and its community, is proud to be a sponsor of the event,” said President and CEO Matis Cohen. “The North Beach Bandshell has been a priority for all of us and we are proud to be supporting the Rhythm Foundation’s operations and activities.”

Additional sponsors include, Core Power, Zico Water, Coke Zero, Vitamin Water, MB Suncare, Car2Go, and Green Monkey Yoga.

Directions and Parking
To take a free shuttle bus to the North Beach Bandshell, park at the 42 Street and Sheridan Avenue public parking areas. Free shuttles buses will also be available at Miami-Dade Transit bus stops along 41 Street and Collins Avenue/Indian Creek route (you must flag down the special shuttle). Service will run from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with 30-minute headways.

Styrofoam, glass containers, cans and alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Recycling is highly encouraged.
