Every December, leading art aficionados and fashionistas flock in groves to the capital of the sun and fun better known as Miami Beach. Most art lovers think of South Beach when they hear Art Basel but this year North Beach is making a splash with some highly anticipated events. Event planners have decided to move a few events to North Beach, which offers more space to play with and is more affordable.

With its world-class art museums and private collections, plus its vibrant gallery scene, Miami Beach provides its visitors a wealth of opportunities to view some of the finest examples of Modern and contemporary art. Many of Miami’s internationally renowned institutions offer special exhibits to coincide with Art Basel that takes place December 4 – 7, 2014.

According to Art Basel officials, 75,000 international visitors attended the 2013 edition of Art Basel in Miami Beach, with artists, collectors, gallerists, curators and art enthusiasts creating the excitement that makes this singular event a remarkable way to encounter art and bringing hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue to the city.
