Stationed oceanfront between two luxury condo towers, Allison Park is located east of Collins Avenue between 64th Street and 65th Street. This palm-filled, lush park features an Eco-Walk which educates patrons on the coastal ecosystem and sea turtle activity in Miami Beach. The exhibits specifically address conservation and protection of these creatures and include replicas of life-size sea turtles.
The Eco-Walk includes native vegetation along the dunes to help block any artificial lighting that could negatively impact the turtle’s nesting routines and hatchling survival. In addition, the City of Miami Beach has replaced the existing lighting in Allison Park with turtle-sensitive lighting.
Allison Park features convenient on-site parking, beach access, showers, restrooms, and marks the beginning of the beachwalk, which extends over a mile north, ending at the North Shore Open Space Park.

In July of 2014, City Commission agreed to work with the Sabrina Cohen Foundation to create a fully accessible beach and oceanfront park at Allison Park. The project entitled “Beach for All” would put North Beach on the map for being the first accessible beach of its kind in the State of Florida.
Funded by the Miami Foundation, the Health Foundation of Florida, and the City of Miami Beach, the money will go towards a special patio area with adaptive picnic tables, beach chairs and water sports equipment designed for people with disabilities. Children with disabilities will also be able to enjoy a fully accessible state of the art playground. Cohen has said she hopes it will serve as a model for other communities. Although no date has been given regarding the opening of the park, a Parks representative mentioned it could be built rather quickly.
