The recently opened Taste Buds of India, located at 946 Normandy Drive, is dishing up everyone’s favorite signature Indian flavors. Whether you’re a tikki masala aficionado, or a first timer, we can assure you that a visit here is not to be missed. With two other outposts located in Coral Springs and South Miami, Taste Buds of India’s newest located in North Beach has already developed a reputation for serving quality, fresh ingredients and addicting flavors.

Lentil Soup

Start your meal off with some tasty samosas; crispy fried patties stuffed with either vegetables or lamb and plenty of aromatic spices. There are several soup and salad offerings as well, such as the chicken and lentil soup and the refreshing Indian Salad, topped with lemon and cilantro. Our favorite, the naan bread, is served warm and comes in several different variations including plain, garlic, cheese, basil and onion. Our suggestion? Get a few different kinds and sample them! Side orders of mango chutney or onion chili are perfect for dipping.

Perhaps you’d like to enjoy a nice wine or cold beer with your meal. This restaurant offers a nice variety of sparkling, red and white wines and beers including Indian varieties, domestics and imports.

Lamb Chop Masala

Don’t fill up with appetizers! Main dishes at Taste Buds of India offer a little something for everyone. Whether you’re craving chicken, beef, seafood or looking to keep it light, you’ll find it here. The always-popular Butter Chicken, served with a rich and creamy tomato-based sauce, certainly doesn’t disappoint. Another fan-favorite is any version of the biryani; this rice dish comes with your choice of chicken, shrimp, lamb, or vegetables. We have to mention the lamb chop masala; served in a spicy curry sauce, this dish packs in the flavor. Onion, pepper, ginger and cardamom round out the exotic seasonings. It’s absolutely a must-try in our book!

Tandoori Mushrooms

Vegetarians have nothing to worry about – they’ll have no trouble finding plenty of options here. Some of our favorites include paneer pakora, a seasoned and fried cheese, and lasooni gobi, crispy bits of cauliflower tossed in a tomato and garlic sauce. The tandoori mushrooms are nothing short of addictive!

If you’re anything like us, then you need a little something sweet to end off your meal. Taste Buds of India offers many different dessert options. The mango mousse is creamy, slightly sweetened and satisfying. Kulfi is a traditional Indian ice cream, and the version here is made with almonds, pistachios and rosewater – it’s definitely unlike anything you’ve tried before. Gulab jamun is another very traditional and popular Indian dessert. These spongy milk balls soaked in honey and rose water will satisfy all your senses with their fragrant aroma.
